Remember Tammy’s Creative Experiments? Well here is my second experiment: mirror writing. I used to practice writing like this a lot back in high school so it was fun to try again.
Vous souvenez-vous des Expériences Créatives de Tammy? Et bien, voilà ma deuxième expérience: l’écriture miroir. Je pratiquais ce genre d’écriture souvent quand j’étais au secondaire alors c’était amusant d’essayer à nouveau.

One of the Creative Experiments on DaisyYellow this month is to take a photograph of something through something else. What better way to do this than with my Kodak Duaflex II? I simply set the Duaflex in front of my subject, in this case, my January journal, and then use my Nikon D40x to take a photo through the viewfinder which is on the top of the camera. Fun! Of course, I get a reversed image but I could easily mirror it in GIMP or Photoshop. I’m sure I’ll find other ways to interpret this prompt before the end of the month.

Une des expériences créatives chez Daisy Yellow ce mois-ci est de prendre une photographie de quelque chose à travers quelque chose d’autre. Quelle meilleure façon de le faire qu’avec mon appareil Duaflex II de Kodak? Je dépose simplement mon Duaflex devant mon sujet, dans ce cas-ci, mon journal de Janvier, et ensuite je me sers de ma Nikon D40x pour prendre une photo par le viseur qui se trouve sur le dessus de la caméra. Amusant! Bien sûr, ça me donne une image inversée mais je pourrais facilement en faire une copie miroir dans GIMP ou Photoshop. Je suis certaine de trouver d’autres façons d’interpréter ce défi avant la fin du mois.

 Hello dear friends,
I hope you all had a lovely weekend and that the new year’s celebrations did not drain you too much. I spent New Year’s eve with my family and we had a good meal and lots of laughs. On New Year’s day though, I stayed with only my Diesel and relaxed. Oh, and I played with my watercolours! Below, you can see a background I did on a large piece of watercolour paper (approximately 11″ x 14″.) I had to scan it in two parts but you get the idea. And as I’m feeling generous, I’m giving you the chance to download them and print them if you want to use them in your own art (just let me know if you decide to do so.)

J’espère que vous avez tous eu une fin de semaine merveilleuse et que les célébrations du nouvel an ne vous ont pas trop vidés. J’ai passé le réveillon avec ma famille et nous avons mangé un bon repas et avons bien rigolé. Le jour de l’an, par contre, je suis restée avec juste ma Diesel et j’ai relaxé. Oh, et j’ai joué avec mes aquarelles! Plus bas, vous pouvez voir un fond que j’ai fait sur un grand papier aquarelle (27cm x 35cm.) J’ai du le numériser en deux parties mais ça vous donne une bonne idée. Et comme je me sens généreuse, je vous donne la chance de les télécharger et de les imprimer pour vous en servir dans votre art (laissez-moi savoir si c’est le cas.)
If you are looking for a new project for the new year, you might want to check out Elsie Flannigan’s “Project Restyle” where the idea is to “use unwanted, damaged or unusable vintage or used items to ReStyle.” I will definitely try to play along as I love to reuse old items.
Si vous cherchez un nouveau projet pour le nouvel an, allez voir le “Project Restyle” d’Elsie Flannigan où l’idée est de prendre un objet seconde main ou vintage qui ne sert plus ou qui est endommagé et de lui donner une deuxième vie. Je vais définitivement essayer de participer parce que j’aime réutiliser de vieux objets.

 I have 3 photos for you today. The first and second one were done for an experiment for Daisy Yellow.
J’ai 3 photos pour vous aujourd’hui. Les première et deuxième ont été faites pour une expérimentation pour Daisy Yellow.
I first drew squares with Neocolor II crayons then covered everything with a layer of white gesso.
J’ai d’abord dessiné des carrés avec mes Neocolor II puis j’ai recouvert le tout d’une couche de gesso.
 
This third photo is of a spread I made to answer 2 challenges: NaNoJouMo and The Queen of Creativity Castle’s Creative Challenge.
Cette troisième photo est d’une mise en page que j’ai fait pour répondre à 2 défis: NaNoJouMo et le “Creative Challenge” de The Queen of Creativity Castle.
NaNoWriMo is going steady. I’m sure I’ll get to 50,000 words by the end of the month. I’m not sure, though, that I’ll have a novel worthy of that name!
NaNoWriMo se poursuit. Je suis certaine d’atteindre les 50,000 mots à la fin du mois. Je ne suis pas certaine, par contre, d’avoir un roman digne de ce nom!

Over on Daisy Yellow, the July creative experiment has been posted. I haven’t participated in Tammy’s experiments in some months so I thought I’d give it a go this time around. So here is my take on the following experiment: 
♥ Create a painting or art journal page with no images, using any color + black + white + words.
 
I quite like it. I used: acrylic, watercolour, gesso, PosterPaint markers, foam stamps, dye inks, sequin wastes, decorative tapes, gel pens, China marker, rubber stamp and embossing powder.
 
Why don’t you visit Tammy and try one of her experiments?

Sur le site Daisy Yellow, les expérimentations créatives de Juillet son affichées. Ça fait plusieurs mois que je n’ai pas participé aux expérimentations de Tammy alors j’ai pensé m’y remettre cette fois-ci. Alors voici ma réponse à l’expérimentation suivante:
♥ Créer une peinture ou page de journal d’artiste sans images, en utilisant une couleur + noir + blanc + des mots.
 
Je l’aime bien. J’ai utiliser: acrylique, aquarelle, gesso, marqueur PosterPaint, étampes en mousse, encres à teinture, retailles de confetti, ruban adhésif décoratif, stylos gel, crayon gras China, étampe caoutchouc et poudre à embosser.
Pourquoi n’allez-vous pas visiter Tammy et essayer une de ses expérimentations?
