After spending all summer creating on Index cards and half a month doing my zentangle coasters, I really feel the need to get back to other forms of creativity. Like sewing. And artistic recycling. I’m hoping to turn these pieces of worn out jeans into a chew-toy for my brother’s dog. I’ll let you know if it worked or not. Wishing you a fun-filled weekend! Après avoir passé tout l’été à créer sur des carte Index et un demi-mois à faire mes sous-verres zentangle, je ressens vraiment le besoin de retourner à d’autres formes de créativité. Comme la couture. Et le recyclage artistique. Je souhaite transformer ces morceaux de jeans usé en jouet à mordiller pour la chienne de mon frère. Je vous laisserai savoir si ça fonctionne ou non. I couldn’t pick only 9 photos like last time for the 4 days when we were in the mountains in the South of France. So I tried my hand at making a slideshow. The photos were taken in Cubières sur Cinoble, Cucugnan (including the Quéribus castle), Peyrepertuse, Carcassonne, Le Barcarès (the beach) and Toulouse. I think that this was my favourite part of the trip, though I loved Paris (which you’ll see next week.) The people were so friendly and it was very relaxing there. I would go back in a heartbeat if I could.
Je ne pouvais choisir que 9 photos comme la dernière fois de nos 4 jours passés dans les montagnes du Sud de la France. Alors j’ai essayé de faire une diaporama. Les photos ont été prise à Cubières sur Cinoble, Cucugnan (y compris le Château Quéribus), Peyrepertuse, Carcassonne, Le Barcarès (la plage) et Toulouse. Je pense que ce fut ma partie préférée du voyage, même si j’ai vraiment aimé Paris (que vous verrez la semaine prochaine.) Les gens étaient tellement sympatique et c’était reposant là-bas. J’y retournerais en un clin d’oeil si je le pouvais.

For this Photo Friday, I’m showing you a few of my favourite photos taken by me and my mother in Barcelona. Between the two of us, we took almost 900 photos in Barcelona alone and my brother took way more than that on his own. The photos here are: 1- one of the many palm trees seen in the city; 2- the Sagrada Familia; 3- the stairwell inside the Sagrada Familia; 4- a cat posing in Park Guell; 5- my mother and the lizard/dragon fountain; 6- Barcelona seen from very high up (the highest we went); 7- lots of different architecture in Barcelona; 8- the three of us enjoying a beer (have you seen the size of these???) on La Rambla; 9-yours truly in front of a blooming cactus.
Next week, I’ll show some of my favourites from when we were in the mountains in the south of France.
Pour cette édition du Vendredi Photo, je vous montre quelques clichés favoris pris par moi et ma mère à Barcelone. À nous deux, nous avons près de 900 photos seulement à Barcelone et mon frère en a pris bien plus que ça à lui seul. Les photos ici sont: 1- un des nombreux palmiers vu dans la ville; 2- la Sagrada Familia; 3- l’escalier en colimaçon dans la Sagrada Familia; 4- un chat posant au Parc Guell; 5- ma mère et la fontaine du lézard/dragon; 6- Barcelone vue de très haut (le plus haut que nous sommes allés); 7- plusieurs styles architecturaux différents à Barcelone; 8- nous trois, avec une bonne bière (vous avez vu leur grosseur???) sur La Rambla; 9- moi-même, devant un cactus fleuri.
La semaine prochaine, je vous montrerai quelques photos de notre temps dans les montagnes dans le sud de la France.
A small visitor – Un petit visiteur

He was right outside my kitchen window. Stayed on that branch for about an hour. I later saw him on my balcony, limping. I know a lot of people don’t like squirrels but I love them. I can’t help it, I love animals!

Il était tout près de la fenêtre de ma cuisine. Il est resté sur cette branche pendant environ une heur. Je l’ai revu plus tard sur mon balcon, boîtant. Je sais que bien des gens n’aiment pas les écureuils mais moi, je les aime. C’est plus fort que moi, j’aime les animaux!
