Here we go again

Altered purse

Hello friends!

Yes, it’s been a while.

Sorry for that. I could give you excuses but I won’t.

And this time, I’m not making promises. Apparently, I’m not very good at keeping them, especially when it comes to my blog.

The thing is, I’m a creature of habit. If I don’t force myself to blog on a schedule, chances are, I won’t do it at all.

Today being the 1st of July (Happy Canada Day to those who celebrate,) I think I’m due to revisit my resolutions/intentions/words of the year.

I had chosen to focus on Simplicity and Balance this year. So far, not a whole lot has been done to honor those words. It’s not too late to get started, right? So that’s what I’m doing… Starting now, I’m working on simplifying and balancing my life. I will try to journal and/or blog about the process to help me through it. I have a lot of work ahead of me but I can do it… one day at a time…

The photo: I bought this backpack purse at Value Village for $5.99 and decided to paint the front panel. I primed the surface with gesso and then painted with Speedball Watercolor Brush Pens. I added some glitter varnish in some places and details were done with Scribbles paint in Shiny White.

PS. Thanks to Judie for waking me up from this deep slumber!
