art journal, life

Life. It can change in the blink of an eye or it can take its sweet time. A lot of things have changed in the past few years. And many things are still the same. I have both changed and stayed the same. I know that I cannot keep doing things the same way I did 5 years ago. And that’s ok. I am ok. I want to keep this blog and to post again. But I am giving myself permission to post when I want and about what I want. I know this is all very vague and I’m keeping it this way because I believe in privacy even in this era of social media cult. Let’s just say I’ve been through some tough times but now I’m better. And maybe by posting via my phone, I will blog more often. We’ll see.

Meanwhile, here is the latest page in my art journal.

  1. It’s always a happy surprise to get a notification of a new blog post by you. Change is inevitable which doesn’t necessarily make it easy. That is why I like the Buddhist notion of impermanence. Instead of balancing on one foot when change happens, I widen my stance and let it wash over me. Thank you for sharing your words and art. Xox

  2. hello Sophie…I hope things are going good for you. It is great to see your post again after a long absence. I have just returned after being away from my blog for several months. I am a very private person too, I don’t do Facebook…and that’s why I don’t share a lot of personal life on my blog. You do what you feel is right for you! Take care and I always like to see what you are doing with your art…hugs,

  3. It was so good to see a comment from you on my blog! I thought you had given up on blogging. I think it should definitely be something you do when you feel like it…no obligations. I’m just happy to see some of your art.
