I’ve been keeping busy, creating art daily. For those who follow me on Instagram or on my friends list on Facebook, you have already seen what I’ve done. For the others, you will have to be patient but I promise that I will show the things I have done. So far I have worked on Zentangle coasters, ATCs, mini collage, 3d cards, mandalas and index cards (the latter for 2 months.) For the month of August, I decided on a free-for-all approach instead of a specific technique or substrate.
Today, I decided to alter a clipboard. I wanted it to be full enough to hang on the wall as art but not so full that I couldn’t use it to hold other things such as inspiring images and/or words. I’m very pleased with the result. See for yourself! I’ll list the material used below the photo.
Artist’s Loft acrylic paints in Violet and Phthalo Blue
Americana acrylic paints in Lemon Yellow, Flamingo, Orange Sherbet, Chartreuse and Coastal Waters
Stickles in Diamond (not visible in the photo but it’s on parts of the three yellow butterflies.)
Stencils from Prima Marketing: Finnabair’s Butterflies and Drops; The Crafter’s Workshop: Butterfly Meadow; unknown brand for the dragonfly and ornate butterfly
Thank you for visiting my blog. My plan for this month is to blog at least 5 times a week to show you everything I’ve created so far this year. Hopefully, I’ll get back into the habit of blogging regularly this way.
See you tomorrow!
