Poetry and a postcard

It’s been a hot couple of days and I’ve been busy with work but I managed a couple of different creations. Yesterday, I grabbed a page from a damaged book (Henry the Eighth) and started circling words to create some found poetry. I then blacked-out everything else on the page which turned into this:

“The Princess would never let the King soothe the new Queen below the windows. Mary was ecstatic and thanking Jane secretly.”

So it’s not amazing poetry but it was fun to do. And today, I made another postcard. This one is on plain cardboard. I used some gesso, colored pencils, a China Marker pencil, a Sharpie and some liquid acrylic paint for the black spots. It was a quick exercise and fun to create.

My pile of postcards is getting fat so I should start sending some soon. Who knows, you might get one! (Well, if I have your address that is!)

Thanks for visiting!
