For those who wanted more information about Art Abandonment, you can go to Micheal De Meng’s blog. The idea is simply to create art and abandon the piece for someone else to find and enjoy. This one is a 4″x4″ coaster which has been decorated with waterproof pens and markers. Same little character as the first abandonment. She’s new and hasn’t told me her story yet. Another challenge I’ve decided to take up is to draw every day, using this list. Tammy of Daisy Yellow has inspired me to get started and I will share my drawings one a week … Continue reading Challenges
Hello dear readers! I’m sorry for being gone so long without any explanation. Life got in the way of creating and blogging. Also, there was the wee matter of a break-up. But now I’m back and I’m here to stay… I hope! I haven’t done many things in the past month except work, work and work. I started Nanowrimo and even though I’m still technically participating, I know I won’t have 50,000 words by the end of the month. And I’m ok with it. I’ve been stuck in a rut, creatively speaking, so last weekend, I decided to participate in … Continue reading She’s baack! – La revoilà!
It’s the last day of September and I now have a nice stack of zentangle coasters! I am looking for a good way to seal them so they can be used as real coasters. And if that works, I will put them in my shop. Meanwhile, today’s post is #700 and I thought it would be a good idea to have a little giveaway. So, comment on this post before next Friday and you will have a chance to receive your very own Zentangle coaster as well as an envelope filled with crafty goodness. Good luck and have a nice … Continue reading 30 coasters and 700 posts – 30 sous-verres et 700 articles
September has been such a busy month for me that I haven’t been able to actually do one coaster per day. Some days, I did none while other days I made two or three. I’m still a little behind for this week but I will complete the last of my coasters before the weekend, that’s for sure. My mother has been doing really well with this project and I am so proud of her for keeping it up. Le mois de Septembre a été bien rempli pour moi et je n’ai pas été capable de faire un sous-verre par jour. … Continue reading Zentangle coasters – Sous-verres zentangles
After yesterday’s blue zentangle, here is a pink one. I love doing the colored shading. It really completes the drawing. A bit of a blog announcement: I have decided to change my blogging habits so that I can find some balance in all aspects of my life. Since I don’t want to stop blogging completely, and instead of taking a break, as of next week, I will blog 3 days per week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Maybe an occasional post on other days if I have something really special or important to share right then and there. Hopefully, this will … Continue reading Pink Zentangle – Zentangle Rose
I really enjoyed writing my little notes for yesterday’s blog post so I think I might do it again, once in a while. It makes the whole thing feel that much more personal, don’t you think? Today, I kept it simple with one of my coasters but this time, I decided to use a blue fine point felt pen and blue pencil for shading. I like it and will do more coasters in different colours. J’ai beaucoup aimé écrire mes petites notes pour l’article de blogue d’hier alors je pense le refaire une fois de temps en temps. Ça rend … Continue reading Blue Zentangle – Zentangle Bleu
I’ve been working on some cards but I can’t show them to you right now. Only a sneak peek. You’ll get to see them once the recipients have them in their own hands. But I can show you yesterday’s coaster.
