To blog or not to blog

Forgive me readers for I have sinned. It’s been six months since my last blog post.  Yeah, yeah, I know, this isn’t news here. When I look back on my last 5 years or so, I realize that I often get side-tracked by life and I stop blogging for months at a time. And every single time, I feel bad about abandoning my blog. This time, I actually debated about keeping or deleting the blog. But in the end, when it came time to renew my WordPress subscription for this site, I decided to go for it and keep the … Continue reading To blog or not to blog

Drawings

Now that I’m back at work full time, I realize that daily blogging during the week is too much for me. So I think I’ll post on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from now on. With maybe an occasional weekend post. Today is day 244 of my daily art project for 2016. Which means there’s only 1/3 of the year left! Also, I decided to keep my “free-for-all” art theme for September because I will also be participating in a free 30 day journaling challenge but I probably won’t share that on here. Anyway, here are yesterday and today’s art: a … Continue reading Drawings

Happy New Year

Hello friends! My blogging muscle is a little sore so forgive my clumsiness but lo and behold! I’m back! Yes, I have decided that 2016 is the year to bring back blogging. I know that some of my friends miss it too and hopefully this will encourage them to get back to the blogosphere with me. 2015 was a busy year, as they usually are. Some bad stuff but a lot of good stuff. In fact, mostly good. I moved at the end of June to a bigger apartment which I love. I’ve yet to organize my studio but my … Continue reading Happy New Year

News from the artist’s den

Almost 4 months since I last wrote… So much for getting back to the blogging habit… I have no excuse, as always. The school year ends in less than 2 months and let me tell you, I’m really looking forward to my summer vacation! Not that I have anything planned. And not that I don’t like my job. Because I do. Love my job, that is. But it has been a trying year at work. Art wise, I’ve been creating in small bursts. My mother and I attend an art journaling club every month (except for this month) where we … Continue reading News from the artist’s den

Fresh news – Nouvelles fraiches

Dear friends, I’m sorry that I haven’t blogged in almost 3 months. Work is keeping me busy and when I get some free time, I don’t have the energy to do much. There is also the matter of packing up everything I own as I’ll be moving on June 1st. I’m really excited about the move since I’ll be closer to work, therefore will be able to walk/bike to work every day, even in winter. Not the case right now. Also, my new apartment is bigger and I will have a space dedicated to my studio. This is the fresh … Continue reading Fresh news – Nouvelles fraiches

ICAD update #9 – Mise à jour #9

Oh, I am loving these cards! Each and every one of them. Collage, paint, ink, stamping, tape, staples, doodles… All good stuff! As much as I wanted to complete the 30 portraits in August challenge, I grew tired of drawing myself over and over. And I realized that I’m not a “portrait drawing” type of artist. It’s just not my thing. So I stopped. Next week, I’m going back to work, after two months off. What is really exciting is that I’m going to work in a different school! I was lucky enough to get a position with more hours … Continue reading ICAD update #9 – Mise à jour #9

>Hard at work – Je travaille fort

> Yesterday, I made a big (for me) decision. After having problems with Blogger twice in less than a week, I’ve decided to try something different. So I bought my own domain name and will soon be blogging there. I need to set everything up but I will still blog here in the meantime. I’ll let you all know as soon as my site will be ready. Hier, j’ai pris une grosse décision (pour moi.) Après avoir eu des problèmes avec Blogger à deux reprises en moins d’une semaine, j’ai décidé d’essayer quelque chose de différent. Alors j’ai acheté mon … Continue reading >Hard at work – Je travaille fort
