Drawings

I’ve thought about it and starting this weekend, I’ll be changing by blogging schedule as follows: Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. For the rest of the month, I’m continuing to do mostly drawings. And I’ve already decided that for October, I’ll be doing some more 3D cards as well as ATCs and postcards. It will be a “mail art” month. And I will definitely mail some out randomly.

Now, today I’m showing you two very different drawings. One was done in the Complete This Drawing book. The other is a very simple and very quick continuous line drawing in my mini Moleskine journal. In case you can’t tell, it’s a cat… It’s a good exercise to do once in a while.

Anyway, that’s it for today. I’ll be back on Friday to finish the week and then I’ll start the new schedule. Have a nice day and thanks for visiting!

Weekend update

Hello friends,

I’m back with another weekend update.

I kept my art simple this weekend with only drawings. I have a feeling I will be doing a lot of drawings and doodles this month. It’s so quick and easy, plus I can do it anywhere. Anyway, here are Saturday’s postcard and Sunday’s mandala:

Today, I decided to do another page in the Complete This Drawing book. I almost forgot to take the before picture and had already started connecting the lines but you get the idea. I’m also including mom’s latest drawing in the book, even though we don’t have the before picture.

Since the beginning of the month, I’ve also been creating and writing in a journal, as previously stated but I’m choosing to keep that private.

As always, thanks for visiting!

Weekend creations

The weekend was busy so I decided to do simple stuff for my art. A zentangle on Saturday. I hadn’t done a zentangle since my series of coasters in January so I was a bit rusty but it came out fine.

On Sunday, i did a silly drawing in a book titled Complete This Drawing. My mother and I take turns drawing in it. On the left, you can see the design I chose which was obviously meant to be a squirrel’s tail but I turned it into a funky hairdo. We usually draw something other than what it’s supposed to be.

And finally, today I did some more postcards. This time, I created collages on them. At the beginning of the year, I had the intention of sending letters and postcards to friends but never got around to doing it so I’m making various postcards to send out before the end of the year.

These were fun to make so there might be more collages and/or postcards in the near future.

Thank you for visiting and see you tomorrow!
