New journals – Nouveaux journaux

In the past few weeks, I’ve been itching to make some art journals and notebooks. I love to assemble random papers and bind them into a little work of art. I try to use different types of binding, like the one in the second photo: I marked all the papers so they would fold and then stitched the stack together with twine. It’s a good way to use the thin long pieces of paper left from other projects. Now, I just need to decorate the covers a bit and these journals will go in my shop. Au cours des dernières … Continue reading New journals – Nouveaux journaux

>Mom’s birthday card – Carte de fête pour maman

> Today is my mom’s birthday! Happy Birthday Mom! I made this card for her using Stampin’ Up! papers and a Sweet November stamp. The image was coloured with dye inks + blender pen as well as Prismacolor pencils blended with odorless solvent and a paper stump. The card is bigger than the usual size I make because I had to included a pocket on the inside where we could slip some money. I made the envelop to match but forgot to take a picture. Aujourd’hui c’est la fête de ma mère! Bonne Fête Maman! J’ai fait cette carte pour … Continue reading >Mom’s birthday card – Carte de fête pour maman

>Scrapbooking October 2008 – Collimager Octobre 2008

> Two years ago, on Thanksgiving day (it’s in October here in Canada,) my mother and I went for a walk in a nature park close to hour home. I brought my camera to capture the beautiful colours of nature. I have had these photos printed all this time, waiting to be turned into a scrapbooking page or two. And last night, I did just that. The papers are from K & Company, the cardstocks, ink and marker from Stampin’ Up! and the brads from American Crafts. Il y a deux ans, à l’Action de Grâce (c’est en Octobre ici … Continue reading >Scrapbooking October 2008 – Collimager Octobre 2008

>Grungy mini-album – Mini-livre grungy

> This is a mini-album that I did quite some months ago. In March, in fact. I don’t know why it took me so long to show it here because I haven’t played in it since then. Ce mini-livre a été fait il y a plusieurs mois déjà. En Mars, pour dire vrai. Je ne sais pas pourquoi j’ai pris tant de temps à l’afficher ici puisque je n’ai pas joué dedans pendant tout ce temps.   But now that I’m showing it here and that I looked through all the pages again (you can see them all by going … Continue reading >Grungy mini-album – Mini-livre grungy

>A little bird told me – Un petit oiseau m’a dit

> Today, a very simple card. The card base had the background glued to it for a couple of months. The bird had been stamped and mounted on the pieces of cardstock over two years ago (yes, you read that right.) So in an effort to use up the stuff I already have on hand, I made this little card. And since I couldn’t find the right ribbon, I cut a thin piece of the lighter brown cardstock I used to mat the bird image (yes, I still have that exact cardstock in my supplies.) The flower was a simple … Continue reading >A little bird told me – Un petit oiseau m’a dit

>New collages for the swap – Nouveaux collages pour l’échange

>  I decided to make two new collages for Janet and Lee‘s swap after all. I went with blues and purples because those are my partner Laura‘s favourite colours. J’ai décidé de faire deux nouveaux collages pour l’échange de Janet et Lee après tout. J’ai choisi des bleus et pourpres parce que ce sont les couleurs favorites de ma partenaire Laura.
