Back to reality

Just for a little while… My summer vacation is over and I’m going back to work at the school. I’m not complaining, just facing the fact. And it’s fine because I love my job. But it means I might be creating a lot of mandalas, zentangles and other quick art for a little while, until I get used to my schedule again. Then again, you never know when inspiration will strike. Today being my last official day of vacation, I spent it with family members, shopping and hanging out (also celebrating my brother’s birthday.) I only got to do my … Continue reading Back to reality

>A card for my boss – Une carte pour ma patronne

> This week is Daycare Educator Appreciation week. Our boss is giving us a little something special every single day. Her boss (the principal) will be offering her a present as well so I volunteered to make the card. I wanted something simple that she would appreciate. She loves flowers and frog images so this stamp from Stampin’ Up! (A Flower for All Seasons) was perfect for her. I simply colored the image with Prismacolor pencils, blended with odorless solvent and added a bit of Gold Liquid Pearl to the middle of the flowers (oops, looks like one of them … Continue reading >A card for my boss – Une carte pour ma patronne

>Scrapbooking October 2008 – Collimager Octobre 2008

> Two years ago, on Thanksgiving day (it’s in October here in Canada,) my mother and I went for a walk in a nature park close to hour home. I brought my camera to capture the beautiful colours of nature. I have had these photos printed all this time, waiting to be turned into a scrapbooking page or two. And last night, I did just that. The papers are from K & Company, the cardstocks, ink and marker from Stampin’ Up! and the brads from American Crafts. Il y a deux ans, à l’Action de Grâce (c’est en Octobre ici … Continue reading >Scrapbooking October 2008 – Collimager Octobre 2008
